    Litter Picking

This winter some of us have been litter picking. We did it then because the leaves had died so we could see the litter easily. We found quite a lot of litter, particularly in the bushes in the new pond area. We think it had collected there over a long time.

    Apple crumble

We picked apples from our school apple  tree.

We used the apples to make apple crumble for

the rest of the school to eat for dessert at lunchtime.

    It was enjoyable making it.

    Minibeast homes

This afternoon we put up minibeast homes for bees and ladybirds. They are  for bees to lay eggs in and ladybirds to hibernate in. Hopefully the bees will pollinate the flowers and the ladybirds will eat the aphids!

    Our new bird feeder

We saw an old, dieing tree in the wildlife area and we decided to put it to a good use!

We thought it would be nice to attract more wildlife so we have put up a new birdfeeder!

We removed some of the larger branches and twigs until there were only a couple of small branches left.

After that we hung up the bird feeder and left it for the birds to use!!!

    Have a look!!!
